US using Ukraine as instrument for fighting against Russia — Kremlin

Russia still urges the Kiev regime to stop sending its citizens to death and killing Russians in Ukraine, Peskov noted

MOSCOW, November 17. /TASS/. The US does not care about Ukraine, but it uses the country as an instrument for attempting to inflict a "strategic defeat" on Russia, Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov told VGTRK journalist Pavel Zarubin when asked about Washington’s interest in settlement of the conflict.

"At the moment Ukraine for it [US] is not an object of its efforts, but an instrument in its fight against the object," he said. "We are the object, which it is trying to deter, and on which, as it has said, it is going to inflict a strategic defeat," Peskov added.

Russia still urges the Kiev regime to stop sending its citizens to death and killing Russians in Ukraine, Peskov noted.

Moscow has repeatedly "urged the Kiev regime to stop killing Russian people in its country and sending its people to death," he said.
