Lavrov, top Iranian diplomat discuss implementation of high-level agreements of December 7

The Russian Foreign Ministry pointed out that Sergey Lavrov and Hossein Amir-Abdollahian had also reviewed the schedule of upcoming meetings

MOSCOW, December 22. /TASS/. Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and his Iranian counterpart Hossein Amir-Abdollahian held a phone call to discuss regional issues and the implementation of the agreements that the two countries’ presidents had made on December 7, the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

"The parties discussed a number of pressing regional and bilateral issues with a focus on the implementation of the agreements made during high-level Russian-Iranian talks in Moscow on December 7," the statement reads.

The Russian Foreign Ministry pointed out that the two top diplomats had also reviewed the schedule of upcoming meetings.

President Vladimir Putin of Russia and President Ebrahim Raisi of Iran held talks at the Kremlin on December 7, which lasted for over five hours. The parties addressed both bilateral and international issues, including the situation in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict zone.
