MOSCOW, October 25. /TASS/. Russian air defense forces shot down two US-made ATACMS missiles over the past day in the special military operation in Ukraine, Russia’s Defense Ministry reported on Wednesday.
Russia’s Defense Ministry did not report earlier about the destruction of ATACMS missiles.
"During the last 24-hour period, air defense capabilities intercepted two US-made ATACMS tactical missiles, an S-200 surface-to-air missile converted for striking ground targets, two HARM anti-radiation missiles and two rockets of the US-manufactured HIMARS multiple launch rocket system," the ministry said in a statement.

"In the Kupyansk direction, units of the western battlegroup supported by aircraft, artillery and heavy flamethrowers repulsed in their active operations 15 attacks by forces of the Ukrainian army’s 14th, 32nd, 43rd, 54th and 67th mechanized brigades and 101st territorial defense brigade near the settlements of Timkovka and Sinkovka in the Kharkov Region and Nadiya in the Lugansk People’s Republic," the ministry said.
Near the localities of Volchansk and Ogurtsovo, Russian forces wiped out ammunition depots of the Ukrainian army’s 1st special operations brigade, the ministry said.
"The enemy’s losses totaled over 145 personnel, two infantry fighting vehicles and two motor vehicles. In counter-battery fire, a US-made M777 howitzer and two Gvozdika motorized artillery systems were destroyed," the ministry reported.

Russian forces repelled three Ukrainian army attacks in the Krasny Liman area, eliminating roughly 30 enemy troops over the past day, the ministry reported.
"In the Krasny Liman direction, three attacks by assault groups of the National Guard’s 15th regiment and the Ukrainian army’s 67th mechanized brigade were repelled by well-coordinated operations of units from the battlegroup Center, army aircraft strikes and artillery fire near the settlements of Grigorovka in the Donetsk People’s Republic and Chervonaya Dibrova in the Lugansk People’s Republic," the ministry said.
The enemy’s losses in the Krasny Liman area over the past 24 hours amounted to "30 personnel, two armored combat vehicles and three motor vehicles," it said.
Russian forces also inflicted damage by firepower on the personnel and military hardware of the Ukrainian army’s 63rd mechanized brigade near the settlement of Torskoye in the Donetsk People’s Republic, the ministry reported.
Kiev loses over 500 troops in Donetsk area over past day
Russian forces struck Ukrainian army units in the Donetsk area, killing and wounding more than 500 enemy troops over the past day, the ministry reported.
Units of Russia’s battlegroup South supported by aircraft and artillery repulsed five attacks by assault groups of the Ukrainian army’s 24th mechanized and 77th airmobile brigades near the settlements of Kurdyumovka, Andreyevka, Kirovo and Maloilyinovka in the Donetsk People’s Republic, the ministry said.
"In areas near the settlements of Krasnoye, Andreyevka, Kleshcheyevka and Bogdanovka in the Donetsk People’s Republic, Russian forces inflicted damage by firepower on Ukrainian personnel and equipment. The enemy’s total losses over the past 24 hours amounted to over 500 troops killed and wounded, a tank, three armored combat vehicles and two pickup trucks," the ministry said.
In counter-battery fire, Russian forces also destroyed a US-made M777 howitzer and a Gvozdika motorized artillery system, the ministry added.
Russian forces destroy 160 Ukrainian troops in south Donetsk area over past day
Russian forces struck three Ukrainian army brigades in the south Donetsk area, destroying roughly 160 enemy troops and a tank over the past day, the ministry reported.
"In the south Donetsk direction, units of the battlegroup East in interaction with army aircraft and artillery inflicted damage by firepower on amassed personnel of the Ukrainian army’s 72nd mechanized, 58th motorized infantry and 128th territorial defense brigades near the city of Ugledar, the settlements of Urozhainoye and Staromayorskoye in the Donetsk People’s Republic," the ministry said.
The Ukrainian army’s losses in the south Donetsk direction over the past 24 hours totaled as many as 160 personnel, a tank and three motor vehicles, the ministry specified.

Russian forces repelled five Ukrainian army attacks in the Zaporozhye area over the past day, the ministry reported.
"In the Zaporozhye direction, units of the Russian battlegroup, air strikes and artillery fire repelled five attacks by assault groups of the Ukrainian army’s 82nd mechanized and 65th air assault brigades in areas near the settlements of Verbovoye and Rabotino in the Zaporozhye Region," the ministry said.
The enemy’s losses in the Zaporozhye area over the past 24 hours totaled as many as 85 Ukrainian personnel, four tanks, five armored combat vehicles and two motor vehicles, the ministry said.
"In addition, two US-made M777 artillery systems, a D-20 howitzer and a US-manufactured M119 artillery gun were destroyed," the ministry said.

Russian forces destroyed over 110 Ukrainian troops and a D-30 howitzer in the Kherson area over the past day, the ministry reported.
"In the Kherson direction, damage by firepower was inflicted on uncovered enemy manpower amassments near Alyoshkinsky Island and the small railway bridge across the Dnieper River," the ministry said.
The Ukrainian army’s losses in the Kherson direction over the past 24 hours "totaled over 110 personnel, three motor vehicles and a D-30 howitzer," the ministry said.

Russian air defense forces shot down two Ukrainian MiG-29 fighter jets, a Su-25 attack aircraft and an L-39 combat training plane over the past day, the ministry reported.
"Air defense capabilities shot down two Ukrainian Air Force MiG-29 aircraft, a Su-25 attack plane and an L-39 combat trainer near the settlements of Krasnoarmeisk in the Donetsk People’s Republic, Kazachyi Lageri in the Kherson Region and Sinelnikovo in the Dnepropetrovsk Region," the ministry said.
Russian forces wipe out Ukrainian command post in DPR over past day
Russian forces destroyed a Ukrainian command/observation post in the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) over the past day, the ministry reported.
"Near the settlement of Serebryanka in the Donetsk People’s Republic, a command/observation post of the Ukrainian National Guard’s 15th regiment was destroyed," the ministry said.
During the last 24-hour period, operational/tactical and army aircraft, unmanned aerial vehicles, missile troops and artillery of the Russian groupings of forces inflicted damage on Ukrainian manpower and military equipment in 105 areas, the ministry reported.

"Air defense capabilities destroyed 51 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles near the settlements of Zolotaryovka, Nyrkovo and Topolevka in the Lugansk People’s Republic, Novosyolovka in the Donetsk People’s Republic, Inzhenernoye and Mirnoye in the Zaporozhye Region, Peschanovka in the Kherson Region, Tavolzhanka and Olshana in the Kharkov Region," the ministry said.
In all, the Russian Armed Forces have destroyed 515 Ukrainian warplanes, 253 helicopters, 8,271 unmanned aerial vehicles, 441 surface-to-air missile systems, 12,930 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 1,169 multiple rocket launchers, 6,875 field artillery guns and mortars and 14,662 special military motor vehicles since the start of the special military operation in Ukraine, the ministry reported.
