Talks underway on date of Iranian foreign minister’s visit to Russia — diplomat

Talks between the Russian and Iranian foreign ministers were initially scheduled to be held in Moscow on January 17

MOSCOW, February 3. /TASS/. Consultations on the date of Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian’s visit to Russia are underway, Russian Special Presidential Advisor for Afghanistan and Director of the Foreign Ministry’s Second Asian Department Zamir Kabulov told TASS on Friday.

"Consultations on a date are underway. We haven’t received a response yet and I cannot confirm anything but in fact, it is expected [to take place]," he said in response to a question.

Talks between the Russian and Iranian foreign ministers were initially scheduled to be held in Moscow on January 17. The Russian Foreign Ministry official told TASS later that the parties had agreed to postpone the negotiations to a later date.
