Russian Defense Ministry cooperates with 100 countries — deputy minister

Alexander Fomin recalled Russia's participation in the East Asia summit in Cambodia and the G20 meeting on the Indonesian island of Bali earlier in November as examples

SIME REAP /Cambodia/, November 23. /TASS/. Attempts at isolating Russia in the international arena have failed, Russian Deputy Defense Minister, Colonel-General Alexander Fomin, told the media on Wednesday.

"This year, the number of countries that cooperate with the Russian Defense Ministry has exceeded 100. A striking proof there is no isolation of Russia is seen in the Moscow Conference on International Security, held in August this year, which brought together more than 700 delegates from 70 countries and six international organizations," Fomin said following a meeting of the ASEAN defense ministers and dialogue partners (ADMM Plus) in Siem Reap, Cambodia.

Fomin recalled Russia's participation in the East Asia summit in Cambodia and the G20 meeting on the Indonesian island of Bali earlier in November as examples.

"At today's ADMM Plus conference, we discussed pressing security issues on an equal footing with everyone else. Our statement evoked great interest, and the initiatives for practical cooperation we proposed were reflected in the final document," Fomin said.
