MOSCOW, November 9. /TASS/. The US-led international counterterrorism coalition barred experts of the Russian Center for Reconciliation of the Opposing Parties in Syria from visiting the Al-Rukban refugee camp to assess the humanitarian situation, Major General Oleg Yegorov, deputy chief of the Russian center, said on Wednesday.
"A Russian proposal to let a group of experts of the Center for Reconciliation of the Opposing Parties in Syria into the Al-Rukban refugee camp to assess the humanitarian situation was turned down by an authorized representative of the coalition command, US Army Brigadier General Eric Strong," Yegorov said.
According to Yegorov, in the breach of Resolution 2254 of the UN Security Council of 2015, the US-led international counterterrorism coalition keeps obstructing the participation of Russian experts and representatives of international organizations in organizing and conducting humanitarian missions in the areas under its control.
