New realities stand for counteraction to rule of liberalism, Russian diplomat says

Maria Zakharova can see an offensive being waged against "everything that civilization has created" under the West’s banners of liberalistic ideology

MOSCOW, May 24. /TASS/. New political realities should imply counteraction to the global rule of liberalism, Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said on Tuesday.

"Today, the realities stand for the potential scope of this confrontation and whether the entire world will be able to fight back against this awful and absolutely criminal rule of liberalism," the Russian diplomat said, addressing an international forum.

Zakharova can see an offensive being waged against "everything that civilization has created" under the West’s banners of liberalistic ideology.

The notion of liberalism has yielded a totalitarian ideology in the West, the Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman stressed.

"It is based on genocide, blackmails, destruction and certainly neo-colonialism in all of its hybrid manifestations," Zakharova said.
