Claims of Russian peacekeepers’ violations of Karabakh agreements are false — statement

Maria Zakharova pointed out that the "Russian peacekeeping contingent acts in strict compliance with the statements, made by the leaders of Russia, Azerbaijan and Armenia on November 9, 2020"

MOSCOW, April 14. /TASS/. Reports of peacekeepers’ actions that allegedly violate the agreements between Russia, Armenia and Azerbaijan are false, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said in her commentary Thursday.

"We believe that the reports of Russian peacekeepers’ actions that allegedly violate the November 9, 2020 agreements are false," the commentary says.

Commenting on the recent problems with Armenian lawmakers’ access to the Russian peacekeepers’ area of responsibility, Zakharova pointed out that the "Russian peacekeeping contingent acts in strict compliance with the statements, made by the leaders of Russia, Azerbaijan and Armenia on November 9, 2020. The mentioned visit was not negotiated with the Russian peacekeeping contingent command in advance."

"We expect that, considering the past incidents, both in the Russian peacekeeping contingent’s area of responsibility and on certain swath of the Armenian-Azerbaijani border, both sides will refrain from steps that could additionally escalate the situation in the region," she underscored.
