Kremlin does not expect US to step back from unfriendly line against Russia

According to Dmitry Peskov, the US "will not retreat from its strategic line"

TASS, July 1. Moscow has no expectations that Washington will step back from its unfriendly line against Russia, presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov said in an interview with Channel One.

"We do not yet understand what the result of this constructive nature of Geneva talks will be," Peskov said. "We are not disposed to wear rose-tinted glasses," he noted.

Russian authorities are realistic that the US "will not retreat from its strategic line," Peskov said. "The line that is fairly unfriendly in respect of the Russian Federation," he added.
