SOCHI, February 18. /TASS/. Washington has not sent any concrete offers to Moscow when it comes to cooperation on Syria so far, however, there are certain signals that it is ready to work with Russia on this issue, Russian Special Presidential Envoy for Syria Alexander Lavrentyev said in an interview with TASS.
He noted that so far, no contacts with Washington on Syria are in the works. "There are signals so far that they will be ready to work with us, but no concrete offers have come in yet," he stressed.
According to the envoy, the US "has not decided on its policy on Syria so far." "I don’t know how much time they will need, three or four weeks, perhaps," Lavrentyev said. "It’s already mid-February, [US President Joe] Biden’s inauguration was held on January 20, so nearly a month has passed.".
