BERLIN, December 21. /TASS/. The prime minister of the German state of Saxony-Anhalt has confirmed the deaths of five people in a car ramming attack on a Christmas market in the city of Magdeburg.
"We regrettably mourn the deaths of five people; over 200 suffered injuries," Reiner Haseloff told reporters, adding that many of those injured were in critical condition.
A BMW driver ploughed his car into an outdoor Christmas market in downtown Magdeburg on Friday night. The local authorities described the incident as a terrorist attack.
