MOSCOW, November 1. /TASS/. Russian diesel fuel sometimes is sold on the European market under different brands, despite restrictions on purchases of Russian oil products, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak said.
When asked by Vesti journalist Pavel Zarubin whether Europeans can buy Russian gas from a third country, he cited an example of Russian diesel fuel. "Such cases are possible because Europe has banned purchases of Russian oil and petrochemicals, but we see that Russian diesel fuel sometimes appears in Europe under different brands."
Novak also pointed to the low level of gas reserves in European underground storage facilities is ahead of winter. "Historically, reserves in underground gas storage facilities are at their lowest today, and how Europeans are going to live through the winter is another story," he added.
