MOSCOW, March 17. /TASS/. TransContainer’s investment program amounted to 10.7 bln rubles ($127.7 mln) in 2024, the Russian intermodal container operator reported.
Funds were mainly allocated for acquisition of 1,200 80-ft fitting platforms, making it possible to fully replenish the withdrawal of about 800 60-ft railcars to be written off and provide for in-house fleet capacity growth within 2,700 TEU [20-ft container equivalent].
In 2024, the company also purchased 6,600 40-ft high-capacity containers. Funds were allocated for construction, development and upgrade of terminals and to revamp lifting and process equipment.
