Trade turnover between Belarus and Russia to reach historic high in 2024 — Lukashenko

MINSK, December 5. /TASS/. Trade turnover between Belarus and Russia will reach a historic high by the end of this year, it is expected to reach $59-60 bln, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko said at a meeting on preparations for the meeting of the Supreme State Council of the Union State, Belta reported.

According to the head of state, as quoted by the agency, "despite all the problems, various unresolved issues, this year the trade turnover between the countries will reach $59-60 bln, including goods and services". Lukashenko noted that this is "a historically high figure between the two states".

The trade turnover between Belarus and Russia in 2023 amounted to $53 bln, exceeding the result of 2022 by 6%.
