Annual inflation in Russia up to 9.07% in week ended December 2 from 8.78% — ministry

In the food sector price growth rates amounted to 0.68% in the reporting week

MOSCOW, December 4. /TASS/. Annual inflation in Russia sped up to 9.07% from November 26 to December 2 from 8.78% in the previous week, the Economic Development Ministry reported.

"During the week from November 26 to December 2, 2024 consumer inflation equaled 0.5%. In the food sector price growth rates amounted to 0.68% in the reporting week <…>. In the non-food segment price growth rates equaled 0.3%," the report said.

Annual inflation as of December 2 was registered at 9.07%, the ministry said.

According to the macroeconomic forecast published by the ministry this September, Russia’s inflation outlook for 2024 has been adjusted from 5.1% expected earlier to 7.3%.
