Russian plants able to cover domestic public transport needs — PM

More than 7,000 new vehicles will be supplied to Russian regions this year on account of federal support measures, Mikhail Mishustin said

MOSCOW, November 20. /TASS/. Production facilities of domestic plants are capable of fully covering regional needs for public transport, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said at the plenary session of the Transport of Russia forum.

"We will continue proactively upgrading the public transport in order to increase mobility of the people. Capacities of domestic plants are capable to fully cover all the growing needs of regions," Mishustin said.

More than 7,000 new vehicles will be supplied to Russian regions this year on account of federal support measures, the prime minister said. "In addition, more than 33,000 buses, trolleybuses, trams and electric buses during the next six years [will be supplied]. We plan to allocate 150 bln rubles ($1.5 bln) for such goals," Mishustin added.
