Putin notes growth of ice-cream sales to China

Attendees at the meeting confirmed the Russian ice-cream is among key positions of national food exports to China

SOLNECHNODOLSK SETTLEMENT /Stavropol Region/, March 5. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin recalled how he treated President of China Xi Jinping to ice-cream at a meeting with the agricultural sector community.

"I treated my friend, President [of China] XI Jinping to our ice-cream. It seems to me that sales of our ice-cream even grew there," Putin said.

Attendees at the meeting confirmed the Russian ice-cream is among key positions of national food exports to China. The customs administration of China noted earlier that imports of Russian ice-cream are growing from year to year and totaled $1.9 mln in 2023.
