MOSCOW, February 27. /TASS/. Russian airline Nordwind may launch direct flights between Russia and South Africa, Ambassador of South Africa to Russia Mzuvukile Jeff Maqetuka said in an interview with TASS.
"This is already under discussion," the ambassador said. Russia and South Africa identified Nordwind as the potential air carrier in early 2022, Maqetuka noted. "We are expecting to hear when it will start and whether it will still be Nordwind," the envoy added.
"There were supposed to be four flights a week," the South African diplomat continued. "It was going to be Moscow - Johannesburg [and] Moscow - Cape Town," he said.
