Electricity consumption in Russia beating records

Further consumption growth is projected if lasting frosts settle in Russian regions

MOSCOW, December 8. /TASS/. Electric power consumption in Russia in the United Energy System and on the isolated territories reached a new all-time high figure of 168,765 MW on December 8, which is 2,821 above the previous maximum registered on January 10, 2023, the System Operator company reports.

The United Energy System of Russia also registered a new historical maximum of 166,392 MW, which is 2,872 MW above the previous figure, the System Operator said.

Further consumption growth is projected if lasting frosts settle in Russian regions.
