Russian Railways to launch traffic to new port of Lavna in December 2023

The Murmansk hub project provides for development of transport infrastructure on the western coast of the Cola Bay, including coal and oil terminals, and railway infrastructure with construction of a branch railway to Lavna

MOSCOW, February 6. /TASS/. Russian Railways plans to open working traffic in the Murmansk hub to the port of Lavna in December 2023, CEO Oleg Belozerov said at the meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

"One more critical direction: we will open the working traffic in the Murmansk hub - the new port of Lavna," the top manager said. "We plan to open the working traffic as early as in December. We will complete in the next year," Belozerov noted.
