Azerbaijan, Russia trade turnover rises by 23.6% in January-September 2022

It is noted that the share of trade operations with Russia during this period accounted for 6.38% of the total foreign trade turnover of the republic

BAKU, October 18. /TASS/. The trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Russia in the first three quarters of 2022 amounted to $2.538 bln, which is 23.6% more than last year, the State Customs Committee of Azerbaijan reported on Tuesday.

According to the statement, exports of Azerbaijani products to Russia in January-September amounted to $627.5 mln (2.2% more than last year), and imports of goods from Russia - $1.911 bln, which is 32.6% more compared to last year.

In the first half of the year, Russia ranked third among Azerbaijan's trading partners after Italy and Turkey. The share of trade operations with Russia during this period accounted for 6.38% of the total foreign trade turnover of the republic.

At the end of 2021, the trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Russia increased by 12.1% compared to the previous year and reached $2.99 bln. The share of trade operations with Russia last year amounted to 8.83% of the total foreign trade turnover of Azerbaijan.
