LNG supplies from terminals to Europe in April hit fresh all-time high for this month

Liquified gas supplies from terminals to Europe’s gas transport system totaled 10.65 bln cubic meters last month

MOSCOW, May 2. /TASS/. Gas flows from LNG terminals to Europe’s gas transport system this April hit a fresh high for this month since observations started in 2011, according to data provided by Gas Infrastructure Europe (GIE).

Liquified gas supplies from terminals to Europe’s gas transport system totaled 10.65 bln cubic meters last month, which is higher than the previous record level of 10.21 bln cubic meters in April 2019. LNG reserves in EU countries are 10% higher now than in 2021, and 8% higher than a five-year average.

Consequently, April’s LNG supplies record was the third monthly record in 2022, whereas the previous ones were achieved in March and January (becoming an absolute all-time high). Total LNG deliveries from terminals to Europe’s gas transport system since the beginning of this year has reached around 41.6 bln cubic meters. To compare, Gazprom exported 50.1 bln cubic meters of gas to non-CIS states (including China) in the same period.
