Putin says economic situation in Moscow is very favorable

NOVO-OGAREVO, September 4. / TASS /. Russian President Vladimir Putin praised the current socio-economic situation in Moscow during a working meeting with the mayor of the capital Sergei Sobyanin, which took place on Friday via videoconference.

"Considering both the state and the dynamics of economic development, social aspects, city finance management, the socio-economic situation in the capital is very favorable, we must admit it," Putin said.

Putin thanked the mayor and other city leaders for the high results of their work.

Ahead of Moscow's City Day, the president proposed to discuss not only Moscow's successes, but also the existing difficulties. "It's not possible that there aren't problems in such a large metropolis - more than 10 mln people plus 3 mln visitors every day. The population is growing every year," he said. Therefore, according to President Putin, the capital "also has problems."
