Twenty Ukrainian troops convicted in Russia for crimes in Kursk Region

MOSCOW, March 2. /TASS/. Twenty Ukrainian militants have been sentenced by a Russian court for crimes committed in Russia’s borderline Kursk Region, chairman of the Russian Investigating Committee Alexander Bastrykin told TASS.

"As many as 332 criminal cases have been initiated on charges of crimes committed by Ukrainian armed units. A total of 247 people are facing charges in these cases. Thirty criminal cases have been referred to the prosecutor’s office. Forty-three cases involving 102 people are being considered by court. The 2nd Western District Military Court has pronounced verdicts to 20 people," he said, adding that the Committee’s investigators have been working in the Kursk Region since the first days of Ukraine’s incursion.
