MOSCOW, March 8. /TASS/. Russian Armed Forces destroyed a total of 2,581 Ukrainian military infrastructure objects since the beginning of the special operation, including 123 S-300, Buk-M1 and Osa missile air defense systems, Russian Defense Ministry spokesman Igor Konashenkov said Tuesday.
"Overall, since the beginning of the operation, a total of 2,581 Ukrainian military infrastructure objects have been destroyed. Among them are 90 command posts and communication nodes, 123 S-300, Buk-M1 and Osa missile air defense systems, as well as 81 radars," Konashenkov said.
According to the spokesman, the Russian forces also eliminated 897 tanks and other armored vehicles, 95 multiple launch rocket systems, 336 field artillery guns and mortars, 662 special automobile vehicles and 84 drones.
On February 24, Vladimir Putin announced a special military operation in Ukraine in response to a request for assistance from Donbass People’s Republics. He underscored that Russia does not plan to occupy Ukrainian territories, but instead aims to demilitarize and denazify the republic.
