MOSCOW, January 31 (Itar-Tass) —— Transparent ballot boxes will be placed at all the polling stations in Moscow on March 4, the presidential election day, Russian Central Election Commission head Vladimir Churov said on Tuesday during the meeting with teachers and medics.
There will be 60,000 transparent ballot boxes all over the country, he said.
Some polling stations will be named in honour of famous people. For the first time, such stations appeared in last December's Duma elections. Named stations attract greater interest of voters, Churov noted. According to him, the turnout at the station named in honour of Marshal Zhukov in the Moscow Region was 30 percent higher than at neighbouring sites.
