BRUSSELS, August 30 /ITAR-TASS/. Ukrainian President Pyotr Poroshenko said on Saturday his country was expecting military-technical assistance from EU countries.
“We have held consultations and we want to hold more, on military-technical support, with many [EU] member countries on a bilateral basis,” the president said.
EU countries will supply “the latest non-lethal weapons” to Ukraine, Poroshenko said, adding that he was also planning to discuss this issue at the NATO summit in Wales on September 4-5.
