No fewer than 500 Israelis killed in conflict with Iran — Iranian parliament speaker

Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf also said there are 3,520 wounded people

DUBAI, July 11. /TASS/. At least 500 people have been killed in Israel during the recent escalation of the Iran-Israel conflict, Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf stated.

"The National Security Research Center of the Zionist regime [Israel - TASS] reported that 3,520 people were wounded. They announced this figure themselves, yet claim only 28 were killed. This is an outright lie, ask any military expert or statistician. There is a certain ratio between wounded and killed, roughly six or seven to one. Thus, with 3,520 wounded, there must be at least 500 fatalities," Ghalibaf explained in an interview with Iran’s state broadcaster.

In the early morning hours of June 13, Israel initiated a military operation against Iran. Less than 24 hours later, Iran responded. Nine days later, in the early hours of June 22, the US struck three Iranian nuclear facilities in Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan, entering the fray. The following evening, Tehran launched a missile strike on Al Udeid, the largest US military airbase in the region, located in Qatar. US President Donald Trump later announced that Israel and Iran had agreed to a complete ceasefire, which took effect on June 24. According to official data, a total of 1,060 Iranian people have become victims of the conflict, with over 5,000 wounded.
