TEL AVIV, May 4. /TASS/. Falling fragments of a missile were registered in the vicinity of Ben Gurion Airport near Tel Aviv following a shelling attack from Yemen, the press service of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said.
"Following the sirens that sounded in a number of areas in Israel, several attempts were made to intercept the missile launched from Yemen. A fall was identified in the area of Ben-Gurion Airport," it said in a statement. "The incident is under review," the army press service added.
According to Radio Kan, the airport closed its airspace for arrivals and departures following the attack but has reopened it since.
Air raid sirens sounded in a number of Israeli regions, warning about an attack from Yemen, including in Tel Aviv.
