More than 1,000 Palestinians die in Gaza since March 18 — Gaza Health Ministry

The number of Palestinians killed since October 2023 increased to 50,357

CAIRO, March 31. /TASS/. More than 1,000 Palestinians have died since the resumption of hostilities in the Gaza Strip on March 18, said the Health Ministry of the Palestinian enclave.

"Since March 18, 2025, 1,001 people have been killed and 2,359 injured in Gaza," the Health Ministry said in a statement posted on its Telegram channel, adding that the number of Palestinians killed since October 2023 has increased to 50,357, and another 114,400 people have been injured.

On March 18, the Israeli army interrupted the ceasefire established in January by resuming fighting in the Gaza Strip with massive strikes on the enclave. The office of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu justified the move by pointing to the radical Palestinian movement Hamas' rejection of proposals put forward at the talks by mediators and US special envoy Steven Witkoff, adding that the purpose of the operation is the release of all hostages. The radicals blamed Israel and the United States for the resumption of hostilities.
