MOSCOW, March 23. /TASS/. The US and Ukrainian delegations have taken a break after nearly two hours of consultations in the Saudi capital regarding the details of a ceasefire in Ukraine, Obschestvennoye.Novosti reported, citing a source from Vladimir Zelensky's office.
According to him, "the talks have not ended" and will continue after the break.
Ukrainian Defense Minister Rustem Umerov, who is in the Saudi capital, reported the start of the meeting earlier. According to him, the delegation includes "energy experts as well as military representatives from the naval and air components."
Russian Presidential Aide Yury Ushakov announced earlier that Russian and US experts would hold consultations in Riyadh on March 24. The Russian delegation will be led by Grigory Karasin, chairman of the Russian Federation Council (upper house of parliament) Committee on Foreign Affairs, and Sergey Beseda, an advisor to the FSB director. The parties are expected to discuss the Black Sea Initiative.
On March 20, US special envoy for Ukraine Keith Kellogg stated that the US was eager to hold proximity talks in Riyadh between the technical teams of Russia and the Kiev authorities.
