CAIRO, March 19. /TASS/. The Palestinian movement Hamas has received Israel's proposals for a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip through mediators, but considers them partial and does not guarantee the end of hostilities, the radicals' spokesman Abdul Rahman Shadid said.
"Israel, through mediators, handed us its proposals [for a ceasefire] and drafts of new partial agreements that will not ultimately lead to an end to the war in Gaza. For our part, we told the mediators that we consider it necessary for the Israeli side to respect the signed agreement in all its stages, and we do not accept attempts to solve the problem partially," Shadid told Qatar's Al Jazeera. He did not elaborate on what exactly the Israeli proposals included.
