US ready to stop its operation against Houthis if they refuse from attacks

According to Washington, United States has hit more than 30 targets in Yemen

WASHINGTON, March 17. /TASS/. The United States will end its operation against the Houthis is they abandon the practice of attacking ships, US Assistant to the Secretary of Defense for Public Affairs Sean Parnell.

"The Houthis can determine when this ends, and until then, the campaign will be unrelenting, until we protect our homeland and open up the shipping lanes there, so make sure that we have freedom of maneuver in that area," he told reporters.

According to Alexus Grynkewich, director of operations of the Joint Staff, since the beginning of the operation, the United States has hit more than 30 targets in Yemen. However, he did not specify the exact location of these targets but pledged that these have been no casulaties among civilians.

On March 15, the US started to carry out massive strikes on Houthi facilities in Yemen based on an order from President Donald Trump. According a statement by US Central Command (CENTCOM), the operation is aimed at defending US interests and ensuring safety of maritime traffic.
