BERLIN, February 6. /TASS/. International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) inspectors stationed at the Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant (ZNPP) heard explosions, including in close proximity to the facility, on most days last week, the agency’s Director General Rafael Grossi stated.
"The team heard multiple instances of explosions on most days, some very close to the plant. There were no reports of damage to the site," Grossi said, according to the IAEA’s weekly report.
The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry alleged on February 5 that a regular rotation of IAEA experts at the ZNPP had been postponed due to Russia’s failure to provide security guarantees. According to Russian Permanent Representative to International Organizations in Vienna Mikhail Ulyanov, Ukraine’s statement about the lack of guarantees from Russia was a lie. He also said that Kiev was trying to introduce new rules for IAEA rotations.
