TASHKENT, February 19. /TASS/. Presidents of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev has accepted Russia’s delegation headed by Deputy Prime Minister, Industry and Trade Minister Denis Manturov to discuss maintaining of growth of the two countries’ mutual trade, the press service of the Uzbek president said in a statement.
"Special attention was paid to importance of maintaining of mutual trade growth rates, as well as further promotion of cooperation projects," the statement reads.
During the talks the sides also focused on issues related to implementation of agreements in the area of trade and economic cooperation adopted following Mirziyoyev’s official visit to Russia last October. They also noted with satisfaction that bilateral trade turnover added 6.6% in 2023, the press service added.
Meanwhile, according to Russian statistics, trade turnover between the two countries grew by more than 11% last year.
