MOSCOW, January 12. /TASS/. Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky and UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak have signed a bilateral agreement on security, the Ukrainian online newspaper European Pravda reported.
Currently, the British prime minister is visiting Kiev. According to the Ukrainian president, obligations under this document will remain in effect until Ukraine’s accession to NATO.
Earlier, the UK government said that the sides "will sign a historic UK-Ukraine Agreement on Security Cooperation. The G7 nations agreed to provide Ukraine with bilateral security assurances at the NATO Summit in Vilnius last year; the UK is the first country to deliver a final agreement."
The UK-Ukraine Agreement on Security Cooperation provides for intelligence sharing, cyber security, medical and military training, and defense industrial cooperation. Additionally, it commits the UK to "consult with Ukraine" in the event of another conflict with Russia and to provide Kiev with "swift and sustained assistance" on defense issues.
Earlier, Sunak vowed to supply Kiev with "the largest delivery of drones to Ukraine from any nation."
