Israeli Defense Minister rides helicopter over Gaza Strip, vows to defeat Hamas

TEL AVIV, December 1. /TASS/. Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant observed the resumed military operation in the Gaza Strip from aboard a military helicopter, the Defense Ministry press office said. After this observational flight, the Defense Minister sated his certainty that Israel will defeat Hamas.

"This night, I visited the air force command center, where I approved the IDF’s operational plans. This morning, we all saw the significance of these attacks - the Israelis saw it, and the Hamas terrorist organization in the Gaza Strip felt it," the Minister said.

"I observe powerful strikes from aboard an Air Force helicopter flying over the Gaza Strip. As I said from the very first day [of the military operation], so I reiterate now: the Hamas terrorist organization only understands force," Gallant added.

He underscored that Israel "will continue to carry out strikes at Hamas until it achieves the goals of this war - the destruction of Hamas, the elimination of its administrative and military potential, and the return of the hostages."

"We will continue this mission until we succeed and win," the Defense Minister concluded.
