DUBAI, November 24. /TASS/. Two Palestinian journalists have been killed in Israeli airstrikes on the Gaza Strip, the Qatar-based Al Jazeera TV channel reported.
Journalist Amal Zuhd and her family were killed on Friday morning in an Israeli air attack on their home in Gaza City, the media outlet said, citing the Palestinian news agency Wafa. Palestinian photojournalist Mohammad Ayyash was killed on Thursday with several members of his family when their home was bombed in central Gaza.
According to the Palestinian Journalists’ Syndicate, 63 journalists have been killed in Gaza since Israel launched military activities against the Palestinian enclave.
The Committee to Protect Journalists (CPJ) non-governmental organization said on Thursday that 53 journalists and media workers (46 Palestinian, four Israeli and three Lebanese) had been confirmed dead since the Israeli-Palestinian conflict escalated. The organization pointed out earlier that the first month of the Israel-Gaza conflict was "the deadliest month for journalists since the CPJ began documenting journalist fatalities in 1992."
