TEL AVIV, November 12. /TASS/. Israel is working with international partners to set up floating hospitals off the coast of the Gaza Strip, in addition to field hospitals, Israel Defense Forces spokesman Jonathan Conricus said.
"We are also working with our international partners to deploy field hospitals in the Gaza Strip, as well as floating hospitals off the coast to provide medical assistance," he said. "These are not Israeli hospitals, but they will also be supported."
He also said 12 additional ambulances entered the Gaza Strip in coordination with Egypt. They were donated by Kuwait, according to the spokesman.
The situation in the Middle East sharply escalated following an incursion of Hamas militants from the Gaza Strip into Israel on October 7, accompanied by killings of residents of Israeli settlements near the border and hostage taking. Israel has declared a complete siege of the Gaza Strip and has started delivering strikes on that area and parts of Lebanon and Syria. Clashes are also taking place in the West Bank.
