Russian rescuers find survivor under debris in quake-hit Turkey

A 7.7-magnitude earthquake rocked Turkey’s southeastern province of Kahramanmaras on Monday

KAHRAMANMARAS /Turkey/, February 7. /TASS/. Russian rescuers have found an earthquake survivor under the debris of a collapsed building in Turkey, a TASS correspondent reported on Tuesday.

The man is being saved from under the debris.

A 7.7-magnitude earthquake rocked Turkey’s southeastern province of Kahramanmaras on Monday. The quake was followed by about 300 aftershocks, which were felt in ten regions of Turkey, as well as in neighboring countries, including Syria. According to the latest data, more than 4,500 people have been killed and over 26,000 have been injured in Turkey. According to the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, the death toll from the earthquake in Syria exceeds 1,500 and more than 3,500 have been injured.
