TEL AVIV, January 28. /TASS/. The terrorist who attacked a synagogue in the Jewish neighborhood of Neve Yaakov in East Jerusalem on Friday night appears to have acted alone, according to the press service of the Israeli police.

"The initial findings of the investigation into the terrorist’s identity show he carried out this terrorist attack on his own. The available data suggests that he was a 21-year-old resident of East Jerusalem," the statement said.

It was reported earlier that at least seven people were killed and ten were injured in a shooting in Jerusalem Friday evening, the Jerusalem Post reported. Earlier, the Magen David Adom - the Israeli emergency service - reorted five people killed in the attack.
