Ukraine buys almost 2,900 anti-tank weapons from Germany – newspaper

According to the newspaper Welt am Sonntag, the order was carried out in two tranches

BERLIN, June 27. /TASS/. The Ukrainian government has apparently bought almost 2,900 RGW 90 Matador portable anti-tank weapons from Germany’s DND defense company, the Welt am Sonntag reported on Sunday, citing sources in the Ukrainian cabinet.

The order has been delivered in two tranches, the German paper said.

According to the newspaper, Kiev paid for the weapons with its own money.

On Tuesday, the German government for the first time published a list of armaments being prepared for supplies to Ukraine with a plan to send 30 Gepard self-propelled guns, an IRIS-T air defense system, three Mars multiple launch rocket systems, 22 trucks and 80 pickups. Ukrainian Defense Minister Alexey Reznikov said on June 21 that his country had received from Germany Panzerhaubitze 2000 howitzers.
