BRUSSELS, August 18. /TASS/. The president of the European Council, Charles Michel, and Russian President Vladimir Putin have held a telephone conversation to discuss various ways of promoting a dialogue between the authorities and opposition in Belarus, including the including the OSCE’s mediation, a source in the European Council said.

Earlier Michel tweeted he had a telephone conversation with the Russian president on Belarus ahead of the European Union’s emergency summit due on August 19.
