MOSCOW, August 6. /TASS/. St. Petersburg, Russia's second largest city, will host a tournament of Women's Tennis Association (WTA) for the first time in September 2016, Yevgeny Kafelnikov, a vice president of the Russian Tennis Federation, said on his Twitter Thursday.
Alexander Medvedev, the tournament’s general director, told TASS that its budget will be "some 200 million rubles", or $3.1 million under the current exchange rate.
He added that St. Petersburg would be hosting the tournament for five years.
