MOSCOW, August 9. /TASS/. Roman Neustadter, a defensive midfielder of the Russian national football team, has signed a one-year contract with Dynamo Moscow FC, the club’s press office announced on Friday.

The 31-year-old footballer played for Turkey’s Fenerbahce FC since 2016 and earlier in the year both sides agreed against extending the contract, which expired on July 1, 2019.

Neustadter said in a statement, released by the club on Friday, that it did not take him long to accept an offer from Dynamo Moscow.

"I did not linger thinking about an offer from Dynamo and it took me three or four days to finalize formalities," the statement quoted Neustadter as saying. "I had offers from several other countries, but when Dynamo extended its offer I immediately accepted it."

"I am glad to start training with my new partners and together we will try to make the current season successful and memorable for our team as much as possible," he continued.

"I have already talked to Head Coach Dmitry Khokhlov and he sees me playing as a defensive midfielder in the club, but if necessary I can play as the center back as well," the footballer added.

Neustadter played in 181 matches at different tournaments for the Turkish football club having scored eight goals. Before joining Fenerbahce in 2016, he also played for German football clubs Mainz, Borussia Monchengladbach and Schalke 04.

Dynamo Moscow FC is currently 10th in the Russian Premier League (RPL) standings with five points and the club is scheduled to play its next match at home against Zenit St. Petersburg.
