NEW YORK, April 1. /TASS/. Entrepreneur Elon Musk is once again the richest person in the world, according to newest rankings published by Forbes magazine.
The net worth of Musk, who heads the US Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), is estimated at $342 billion, the publication says.
Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of the Meta corporation (recognized as extremist in Russia) ranks second with an estimated fortune of $216 billion.
Amazon founder Jeff Bezos was third on the list with a total net worth of $215 billion.
He is followed by one of the founders of the Oracle corporation Larry Ellison, whose fortune is estimated at $192 billion.
In 2024, the list was topped by French billionaire Bernard Arnault, who owns the LVMH (Louis Vuitton Moet Hennessy) group of companies. However, this year, Arnault and his family ranked fifth with a fortune of $178 billion.
Over 3,000 people with a combined fortune of a record $16.1 trillion made the magazine's list. Forbes notes that this is the first time that three people have a fortune of more than $200 billion.
