MOSCOW, February 8. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin has instructed that the transfer of food and goods to charitable organizations be considered for exemption from value-added tax, according to a list of instructions issued following a meeting of the Presidential Council for Civil Society and Human Rights.

"The Russian Government shall consider <...> the possibility of increasing the limit of expenses taken into account in calculating the tax base for corporate income tax from 1 to 3% of the taxpayer's revenue in cases of gratuitous transfer of property by the taxpayer to charitable organizations, non-profit organizations included in the list of socially oriented non-profit organizations, as well as the possibility of accounting for expenses in the form of the cost of services rendered on a gratuitous basis to such organizations, as part of the non-profit tax base for corporate income tax," the list, available on the Kremlin website, states.
