MOSCOW, November 7. /TASS/. The master of the Spectrum of the Seas cruise liner, with about 340 Russians stranded on board, said the ship would return to Shanghai on November 11, one of the passengers told TASS.
All the Russian tourists had return tickets for November 9-10. "Everything is quiet; it is time for dinner now. There was only a message from the master this morning that we will arrive in Shanghai on November 11," the passenger said.
Free Internet per person from a cabin was provided on board the ship at the moment. "I did not see any protests. Some people have Aeroflot tickets; the dates cannot be changed, and they are nervous. We have tickets for the Chinese carrier; we shifted to [November] 12 free of charge," he added.
About 600 tourists got stranded on board the Spectrum of the Seas cruise liner in Japan. Many passengers may lose return tickets, while they are to leave the country within six days at the same time. According to the conditions of the visa-free transit via Shanghai, Russians should leave the country within 144 hours. Japan is ready to provide a corridor, but the management of the Royal Caribbean company does not return passports and does not agree to the country's terms because it may sustain losses.
