MOSCOW, January 20. /TASS/. Most Russians believe that Mikhail Mishustin has done a good job over the past three years in office as prime minister, as evidenced by the results of a poll shared by general director of the All-Russian Public Opinion Research Center, Valery Fedorov at a TASS press conference on Friday.
"The population highly appreciates Mikhail Mishustin's work. The number of positive responses was much greater than negative ones. Some 70% gave a very good or rather good assessment, against 16% of those who gave a very bad or somewhat bad one," Fedorov said.
According to the survey, Mishustin's achievements are "very good" for a third of respondents, and "somewhat good" for 40%. At the same time, 11% rated Mishustin's work as "somewhat bad" and 5% as "very bad", 7% of respondents did not know anything about the prime minister's work or could not express their opinion on the matter.
The evaluation of Mishustin's work as prime minister is slightly higher than that of the government as a whole (68%), noted Fedorov.
The sociologist said that older people (82%) evaluated Mishustin's work positively, while men aged 25-34 were more likely to comment negatively on his activities. Another influencing factor was the financial situation of the polled families. The majority of the people with high or very high economic status gave positive assessments (86% against 5% who gave negative assessments). In the group of respondents finding themselves in a difficult financial situation, 34% gave a negative assessment, while 46% gave a positive one.
The telephone poll among 1,600 adult Russians was conducted from January 12-14 in 80 regions of Russia.
