MOSCOW, June 24. /TASS/. The Russian Culture Ministry promised on Friday to resume cooperation with friendly countries, including sending works of art for exhibition temporarily abroad, from 2023.

The practice was suspended back in early March, the ministry’s press service said.

The Ministry of Culture has been actively working with museums to return cultural objects exhibited abroad to the country in the wake of Russia's start of its special military operation in Ukraine.

On Thursday, the State Hermitage Museum introduced a year-long moratorium on its exhibitions in Europe and the United States. Mikhail Shvydkoy, the president’s special representative for international cultural cooperation, approved of such decisions in an interview with TASS, saying 12 months could be a minimal pause given the circumstances.
